Implementing Agile
Some samples of my work in implementing Agile Software Development Life Cycles (SDLC) and processes include:
Set up Agile for Success
Designed and put in place Agile product management and delivery process for a large organization-wide transformation project. Built, coached, and directed several Agile and leadership teams as well as defined and managed product backlog, ensuring product success, governance, and transparency though-out the project.
Scaled SAFe for Enterprise
Implemented Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) to solution level with two release trains (ARTs) including solution and architecture sync ceremonies for 16 globally distributed teams with 230+ team members at large insurance company. Built a solution backlog in Jira Align and established new PI planning and product management processes for team of 5 technical product managers and RTEs. Solution included 8 products in a large and complex multi-year digital transformation initiative modernizing claims processing.
Built New Agile Processes
This healthcare company was then just starting its move to agile and had only few teams using agile for initial work and piloting. For a new initiative, built teams, and implemented agile SDLC and CI/CD processes with sprint iterations from the beginning and moved them fast to production use. Directed development and execution of releases, testing, and training plans rolling out the initial launch and 9 high-quality major product versions exceeding customer expectations and increasing end-user satisfaction and user traffic by 35%.
Transitioned Company to Agile Software Development
Transitioned waterfall-based product development and customer project deliveries to agile software development practices and methods with scrum and agile application life cycle management. Changes applied to product management, development, testing, project implementation, and project management teams over a year period. This contributed, in part, to cutting customer project delivery and product releases-to-market times in half and reducing operational costs 25% a year for several years.
